While Mead provides a historical overview of our relationship with food, how it has changed over time, and how we can make an impact on world hunger, Kingsolver offers a personal account of her and her family’s experiences slaughtering and eating animals on their farm. What is each author’s primary ethical concern regarding food consumption? Despite their different writing styles/approaches, do any points of similarities exist (if yes, what are they)?
